About The Position

The Logistics IT and Acquisitions Specialist will support technical requirements development, contract writing, and supply chain data strategy development for a large DoD weapon system program office. You will manage the end-to-end contract development process, including requirements development, contract writing, stakeholder management, contract negotiations, and proposal evaluation. Additional responsibilities include: Support development of supply chain- and logistics-based requirements to develop a sustainment data acquisition strategy. Manage stakeholders across the Department of Defense, ensuring that different groups have different priorities reflected in work products. Analyze concepts, strategies, and suggestions from Defense contractors on behalf of the US Government to determine feasibility, reasonableness, and benefit to the Government. Facilitate conversations on systems integration, data standards, system engineering, and other topics. Develop new and innovative solutions to client problems. Record, track, and complete action items from stakeholder meetings.

Requirements

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • THREE (3) or more years' of relevant consulting, or advisory experience supporting U.S. federal government clients, either directly, as a federal contractor, or military

Nice To Haves

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • THREE (3) or more years' of experience supporting US DoD clients with acquisitions support, contract writing, data management, or similar experience
  • Experience with Defense logistics platforms and data standards, including the Defense Logistics Agency, US Air Force, or US Navy
  • Experience working in or with the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment or Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment
  • Experience writing DoD contracts and evaluating proposals from large Defense original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
  • Experience drafting DD-1423 compliant Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
