About The Position

The Specialist – Logistics & Inventory Optimization is a subject matter expert in warehousing and logistics with a strong background in continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. This individual contributor role is focused on collecting feedback from stakeholders, analyzing data, and implementing standardization initiatives across all warehouse locations. The goal is to identify and execute optimization and cost-savings opportunities that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve service levels. Success in this role will be measured by tangible impact and the ability to create sustainable systems that reduce dependency on the role itself over time.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data collection tools (e.g., Forms, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives independently with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable plans.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of experience in inventory, logistics, warehousing, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience facilitating continuous improvement or cost reduction projects across multiple teams or departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification – Yellow Belt or higher
  • Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) – APICS/ASCM Demonstrates knowledge in inventory accuracy, production scheduling, and demand management.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM – PMI.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) – APICS/ASCM.
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Training or Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data-driven analysis of warehouse operations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Regularly engage with inventory and logistics teams at all locations to gather feedback on pain points, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive cross-site standardization of inventory and shipping practices, with a focus on lean principles and process autonomy.
  • Lead time studies, root cause analyses, and waste identification efforts.
  • Develop, pilot, and refine solutions with measurable outcomes before broader rollout.
  • Document current and future state processes using visual standards (SOPs, value stream maps, etc.).
  • Track, report, and communicate progress to leadership on all assigned initiatives.
  • Coordinate efforts with Finance and Operations to validate and capture realized cost savings.
  • Build visual management tools and dashboards for performance tracking and training.
  • Identify and implement technology tools and automation that can improve operational workflows.
  • Design scalable solutions that minimize manual intervention and long-term reliance on this role.
  • Must deliver measurable cost savings or process efficiencies within the first 90 days.
  • Create and implement at least 2 standardized systems or tools that improve autonomy at warehouse sites.
  • Document and present all improvement initiatives and cost savings in a final report format.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.
