Logistics Intern Summer 2026
About The Position
As a Logistics Intern, you will investigate the various ways the Nuclear Fuel Transport group receives requests to ship products. While the majority of demand comes from standard short-term and long-term demand and supply review processes, potential future projects often require samples or other nonstandard product shipments. Your role will involve developing a process for logging and managing this total demand. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, and you will report to the Director, Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel Transport, located at the Columbia facility.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in or higher in business, finance, supply chain, or mathematics
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Familiar with process mapping
- Experience with scheduling or project management software tools
Responsibilities
- Determine all demand sources for logistics services
- Document the process for receiving this demand
- Develop a process and IT structure to document all of the demand (major and minor) so that you can track it
