The Logistics Internship will provide an enrolled college student with exposure to a corporate forum relating to Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Customer Service, and Internal Sales.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled and currently attending an Associate Degree program, 2-year Community College, or 4-year bachelor's degree program at a college or university.
  • Studying Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related program.
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude for mathematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Shadowing members of the logistics department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate records.
  • Creating transactions in logistics software(s) to process transactions and business documents (e.g., sales orders, purchase orders, inventory transactions, expense reports) and record business transaction into the proper software module.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for analysis, reconciliation, and processing of logistics transactions.
  • Assist with the transportation area, including monitoring freight expenses, vendor invoicing, researching, and gathering documents to dispute penalties.
  • Working with ERP software.
  • Exposure to and work within the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to gain exposure to and learn more about interdepartmental functions.
  • Learning how to work as part of the logistics team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company and customers.
