About The Position

The Logistics Internship at Nucor Logistics Group offers undergraduate students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics and steel industry. Interns will work closely with various departments to understand the life-cycle of steel, shadow experienced traders, and participate in strategic planning and team-building activities. This internship is designed to enhance professional skills while contributing to the success of Nucor's operations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student going into Junior or Senior year in a business discipline.
• Valid state Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• Major in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or Sales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• High level of professionalism and ability to work with various professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with various departments to understand the life-cycle of steel and how DJJ works with Nucor mills.
• Shadow experienced commodities traders to learn about developing and growing customer relationships.
• Strengthen team-building skills while collaborating with other interns on assigned projects.
• Attend customer meetings and participate in tours of Steel Mills and Scrap Yards.
• Engage in staff meetings and hands-on strategic planning activities.
• Present projects and findings to leadership teams throughout the internship.
