Job Title: Logistics Generalist Location: Sterling, VA Clearance: TS/SCI Poly This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award The Logistics Generalist (Logs) performs the logistics, procurement and management for all materials, property, and systems for operations. The Logs works with the CPM, leadership, and Sponsor to coordinate, plan, procure, receive, and manage material/prop to include RMAs.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Experience with asset tracking systems and inventory management tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to optimize inventory levels and transportation efficiency.
  • Ability to develop and implement logistics and asset management policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills for vendor and stakeholder coordination.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing asset management and logistics operations.
  • Background in budgeting and cost control for logistics and asset-related expenditures.
  • Experience in implementing sustainability practices in supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
  • Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD) certification is highly desirable.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Sponsor's logistics requirements using Sponsor tools.
  • Assures maintenance of appropriate certifications for HAZMAT shippers and forklift operators to safely package and transport items as required.
  • Accept, control, store, and retrieve equipment and other materials designated by the Sponsor in compliance with applicable Sponsor and directorate regulations, policies, and reporting procedures
  • Perform tracking, receiving, and inventorying; placing material in consolidation areas; ensuring item protection (environmental, unauthorized modification); picking, move to integration-test area, and packing.
  • Supplies all bill of laden, manifest, BOM, and inventory lists of items moved into Sponsor Shipping
  • Maintains appropriate Levels of Expendables, components, repair/maintenance parts, and licenses.
  • Manages and handles RMA/Hardware Returns
  • Conducts and manages all quarterly and annual accountable property and asset/inventory reporting and custodial duties as required by Sponsor.
