About The Position

The Logistics Generalist - Full Performance duties include adhering to the regulations/guidelines/SOPs of the Office of Logistics and the Sponsor's supply chain regulations, close coordination with senior Logistics Staff officer (or their designated representative) in the appropriate Directorate/Mission Center/Component/Office of assignment, assisting with the administration and control for the purchase of materials and services; directing the complete process for transporting people and goods; overseeing materials management within area of assignment; coordinating and planning facility services; tracking cost issues and personnel resources; and administering elements of multi-faceted programs. Logistics Generalists could potentially travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations in support of temporary logistics requirements of the Directorate/Mission Center/Component/Office of assignment.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Five (5) years of relevant logistics experience in the public or private sector.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification (may be required depending on office assignment).
  • HAZMAT certification (may be required or preferred depending on office assignment).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with purchasing of materials and services within area of assignment.
  • Validate customer requirements against regulations and estimate costs.
  • Reconcile routine to moderately complex financial statements.
  • Reconcile accounts payable to ensure accuracy and funding availability.
  • Review bills/invoices for accuracy.
  • Coordinate and transport material and people.
  • Complete proper transportation documentation.
  • Learn how to ship and receive material.
  • Prepare material for shipment in accordance with the Sponsor's standards.
  • Research best transportation options for customers.
  • Maintain inventories of goods and materials.
  • Process inventory requests and validate receipt of goods.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of a fleet of vehicles.
  • Conduct property inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Distribute and track parking permits, WEX cards, license plates, and other items.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Management for office moves and renovations.
  • Schedule routine office maintenance.
