About The Position

The position involves performing a wide variety of repairs, maintenance, installations, replacements, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic tasks for various makes and models of delivery vans. The work must be carried out efficiently, timely, accurately, professionally, and safely, adhering to all company policies as well as DOT, OSHA, and other governmental standards and regulations. Requirements

• Ability to safely walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces.
• Must supply own mechanic tools, including a 1/2" drive for van repairs.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of previous van repair and maintenance experience.
• Technical training in mechanics, welding, body, and door repair.
• Experience in repairing or rebuilding equipment components such as brakes, air systems, ABS, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with safety inspection procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of delivery vans.
• Conduct installations and replacements as needed.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and diagnostic tasks.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations.

• Complete computer-based work orders with accurate repair descriptions.
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary documentation.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Access all areas of the equipment for necessary maintenance and inspections.
