About The Position

The Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer will provide systems lifecycle engineering support for ground-based space systems, focusing on the United States Space Force Program Executive Office for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power. This role involves leading the development of sustainment requirements, evaluating contractor designs, and ensuring that program documentation meets operational and user needs throughout the system's lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years of related experience (4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree).
  • Requires an in-scope background investigation (T5 or SSBI) and the ability to obtain/maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.
  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and consent to a Polygraph examination.
  • Experience supporting and/or managing logistics operations and programs throughout various phases of the engineering life cycle.
  • Experience with operational user needs, including system maintainers.
  • Experience with weapon systems acquisition processes, including the development of system functional and compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP).
  • Experience within the National Security Space and/or the Space Control mission area.
  • Experience working in a development environment and/or U.S. Government weapons system program office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems lifecycle engineering support for ground-based space systems from early acquisition through operations and sustainment.
  • Lead the development of sustainment requirements in an integrated product team approach in collaboration with development, test, and operations stakeholders.
  • Evaluate contractor designs, operations concepts, specifications, and interface products for technical completeness and performance suitability related to logistical concerns.
  • Ensure program documentation includes operational and user constraints, needs, and requirements from a system use, sustainment, and retirement perspective.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $120,001 - $160,000 based on experience and other factors.
