The supply chain management team in Duncan, SC, is comprised of material planners, logistics engineers, warehouse supervisors, customs specialists, and more. As a logistics engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the plant on the development and implementation of logistics concepts and tools to realize and continuously develop logistics operations. This will include regular cross-collaboration with quality, launch and project teams. What you can look forward to as a Logistics Engineer Plan, Coordinate, and Implement concepts for inbound, intra and outbound Logistics for Chassis Modules assembly operations. Realize economic calculation and cost optimization of Logistics concepts & processes and Supply Chain Management. Plan, develop, and procure component part carriers and logistic equipment. Implement KPI reporting standards for Logistics within the plant, including the collection of data, consistency checks, data tracking & consolidation as well as reporting. Run logistic supplier development for the plant including the organization, participation and implementation of logistics audits at the suppliers' plants. Define, track and support action plans to optimize the suppliers' performance within the supply base and initiate counter measures in case of escalation. Support the logistic development in the plant including the field of professional development and the implementation of improvement activities for the plant as well as within the supply chain. Support the cross - departmental/cross - functional coordination of activities (Internal Logistics, Sales, Purchasing, and IT) to assure an effective and efficient interaction in project work as well as on shop - floor level.
