About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Logistics Engineer to support strategic logistics transactions between multiple parties including GOVCIO, our customer, as well as third party logistics providers. This position will be located in San Antonio, TX and will be an onsite with occasional remote work position. The Logistics Engineer will lead GOVCIO team members to optimize delivery of Deployable Communications Services in accordance with the Deployable Communications Service Plan and customer support schedules.

Requirements

  • High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance: SECRET
  • Clearance Required: Secret must be willing to undergo investigation to upgrade to Top Secret security clearance with Active SCI Eligibility
  • Experience in shipping or inventory control; preferably in an IT environment
  • Have proven proficiency in data entry
  • Have the physical ability to lift and handle up to 50lbs
  • Experience with Defense Logistics Agency services
  • Ability to maintain and track equipment across multiple units
  • Optimize processes and engineer solution quickly and efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ServiceNow program
  • Experience with DoD Supply Chain and Defense Courier Service

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records and keeping audit trails of all material received, shipped or returned for repair, following established supply procedures
  • Coordinate delivery and receipt of program property across the assigned program(s) as a single point of contact
  • Prepares and maintains an organized documentation file necessary to effectively research all transactions
  • Updates logistics/material system as necessary
  • Prepares and submits required reports to management
  • Receives Deployable Communication equipment, and handles/moves equipment with consistence of quality, accuracy, efficiency, and safety
  • Requisitions parts/equipment as well as general supplies and equipment
  • Control and maintain GOVCIO and Government property in accordance with contract provisions, Directives/Instructions and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Maintains the count integrity of the inventory by using a systematic cycle counting process to count stock items within the warehouse, and work to correct the discrepancies
  • Process inbound and outbound equipment accurately and in a timely manner to facilitate Accounting efficiency
  • Prepares the documentation necessary to effectively control all parts, equipment and accountable material
  • Inspect and monitor the loading/unloading of all equipment and verify counts and lot numbers, notifying the Delivery Manager on receipt and shipment issues
  • Training and educating others on property management policies and procedures
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
