Tastepoint is seeking an enthusiastic and driven team player to join our Logistics team as a Delivery Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring sales orders and inventory levels to ensure timely shipment. You will work closely with various internal departments, building relationships to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Your ability to work in an organized and detailed manner, while keeping the bigger picture in mind, will be crucial to your success. You will also need to be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, taking on challenges and finding solutions to problems as they arise. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve resolving SAP system issues that may hinder the timely shipment of orders. This includes the administrative linking of the correct materials, batches, and quantities to customer orders in SAP, as well as amending deliveries for shipping and controlling delivery goods issue dates. You will also consult with the Customer Service and Quality departments to address any issues that may prevent shipment. Additionally, you may be required to provide vacation coverage in other areas of the department, showcasing your versatility and willingness to support your colleagues. The work environment may involve spending considerable time in a warehouse setting, which can be subject to temperature variations, noise, and forklift traffic. Therefore, a strong background in computerized inventory and shipping systems, preferably SAP, is essential. You should possess excellent problem-solving and numeracy skills, be an enthusiastic team player, and have a high attention to detail. The ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure is also important, as is the willingness to learn new computer skills. Fluency in English and a high school diploma or GED are required for this position.
