About The Position

This position maintains the control and distribution of goods produced at Mission Foods for proper and accurate completion of all orders. Implement modifications to operating policies that improve service levels, while continuously reviewing cost avoidance/reduction opportunities. Inspect and Audit offsite unstaffed warehouses to ensure compliance with Mission Food's and health regulations. Assist in generating and distributing weekly RPC reports to Sales management for Northern California. Maintain records for transactions, customers' requirements, company policies & procedures. Maintain records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations. Participate and Identify opportunities during the MER Audit. Work closely with Mission Foods Real Estate Team (Coordinate and Assist when needed). Interface with transportation provider to maintain low-cost service overall. Improve cube utilization to 90% of available space on inbound trailers-double stack to reduce loads and transportation costs. Assist in generating and distributing weekly/Monthly (Tray Tracking reports to Sales management) for your DC Warehouse. Work with Sales Team in maintaining the POS material area clean and organized. Contact vendors as needed for repairs and upkeep of warehouse buildings and grounds. Act as a Logistics Point of Contact for the Pest Control Company and assure that any recommendations from the Pest Control Company are addressed promptly. Meet with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, FDA, and State Department of Health inspections/visits. Guarantee Video Security System works correctly and is accessible via remote monitoring on a weekly basis. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years in distribution experience, preferably in a food environment.
  • Experience with Quality Systems and programs.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Experience with raw material handling.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Familiar with regulatory agencies' clauses such as OSHA and FDA.
  • Up to 50% travel required.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.
