Analyze freight/transport provider contracts, processes and relationships, to ensure the development of strategy and performance. Collate data pertaining to logistics expenditure, captured value and supply chain volumes and costs by using mathematical tools, statistical analysis, and computers. Extract data from highly developed internal and external sources. Involvement in projects from conception through to implementation as either instigator or as executor across key business lines. Used at the discretion of management in specific business channels or may be assigned to one specific channel. Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or related discipline with experience in business processes. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records. 2+ year related experience.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience required
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong communication, organization and planning skills
  • Proficient PC skills required
  • Ability to understand and follow established processes pertaining to transactional information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite
  • Works well on cross-functional team
  • Strong customer relations ability

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in business or accounting preferred
  • Experience with SAP and related applications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage emails.
  • Respond to customers regarding claims
  • Research shortages claims through inventory adjustments, warehouse requests and POD
  • Evaluate photos for damage claims
  • When warehouse or carrier advises of discrepancies, Research and Analyze
  • Short-pays
  • Manage Lamb Weston Invoices e-mail
  • Create vouchers for payment and send for approval
  • Understanding of general ledger accounts
  • Work closely with COPS, AP and AR to resolve short-pays and billbacks
  • Generate credit and debits
  • Route cause analysis with invoices
