About The Position

The Sourcing and Logistics Coordinator at Unified Power is responsible for managing the procurement and sourcing functions related to direct and indirect materials, services, and fixed assets. This role involves ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery of products and services while collaborating closely with the Sales team and Purchasing Department. The Coordinator will also oversee inventory control and assist in logistics operations, utilizing systems like NetSuite to maintain efficiency and accuracy in supply chain processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing materials in a diverse service environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking abilities with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong customer orientation.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with NetSuite System or similar is a plus.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation within the first 2-3 months of employment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inventory control for at least 2 years.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving for at least 2 years.
  • Experience in managing purchasing orders for at least 2 years.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Sales team and Purchasing Department to ensure timely execution of quoting process and quality requirements with suppliers.
  • Assist in securing and analyzing quotes, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, and recommending suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Manage in-house parts inventory, maintaining stock levels on critical and high-use items.
  • Plan and control inventory parameters for assigned products and services in accordance with NetSuite system requirements.
  • Interpret materials needs from service orders and coordinate small package and LTL freight shipments from vendor locations.
  • Track shipments for open orders and update customers with expected delivery dates.
  • Monitor market prices, trends, and engineering developments, advising company activities as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to administrative procedures and maintain business records including purchases and sales.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
