About The Position

Duties include the preparation of shipping documents and the preparation of goods for shipment, including seeing to proper packing and labeling. A portion of the work involves receipt of materials delivered to the plant, checking shipments and entering and receiving data into the computer system. Work includes local pickups and deliveries. One important aspect of the work is that the majority of outgoing shipments require close adherence to U.S., and a variety of foreign government, foreign shipment and trade regulations. Uses the BE system for processing inventory transactions and shipments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS May be required to operate and inspect Powered Industrial equipment. Check material in and out of the BE System. The majority of transactions are entered into the ERP system through a computer terminal. Deliver materials to work centers as required. Maintain inventory integrity. Prepare products for shipment and loads outgoing trucks. Transfer boxed goods weighing up to 75 lbs with assistance. Operate material handling equipment and assures that safety requirements are met. Move incoming shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas and maintains records of locations. Must attend and be trained in Hazardous Waste Training (RCRA) EPA 265.16. Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of related work experience
