The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all materials, equipment, and resources are efficiently delivered, stored, and distributed across commercial construction sites. This position works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project operations, reduce downtime, and ensure adherence to construction schedules and safety standards.

  • Plan, schedule, and track delivery of materials and equipment to multiple project sites.
  • Verify that deliveries align with project timelines and specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement site logistics plans, including staging areas, delivery routes, and equipment storage.
  • Work with site superintendents to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
  • Oversee traffic flow and delivery access on job sites, including coordination with local authorities if required.
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Track inventory levels and forecast material needs to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure proper documentation for deliveries, returns, and waste management.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues.
  • Support procurement teams with logistics-related input during bid and planning stages.
  • Enforce safety procedures for loading/unloading and on-site storage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations related to transportation and material handling.
  • Provide daily and weekly logistics reports to the project management team.
  • Participate in coordination meetings to align logistics activities with project milestones.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction logistics, supply chain management, or related field (commercial construction preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, scheduling, and delivery processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
