The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, timely movement of products through our supply chain. This position coordinates daily transportation and logistics activities by planning and monitoring shipments, preparing required documentation, and collaborating closely with client services, suppliers, production, and warehouse teams. Proactively tracks loads, resolves shipping issues or delays, and supports continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and control costs. This role thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment, requiring strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple orders while keeping customer satisfaction and delivery timelines top of mind.

Requirements

  • College degree in Supply Chain or Procurement related field, or High School diploma with 1 to 3 years of equivalent experience required
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments and purchase orders at once
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, especially under pressure
  • Understanding of supply chain operations, common challenges, and effective solutions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing logistics environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience using standard logistics or transportation management software

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, route, and monitor daily shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, invoices, & related records
  • Coordinate closely with client services, suppliers, production, and warehouse teams to keep product moving efficiently
  • Track shipments, monitor loads, and proactively identify potential delays or issues
  • Respond quickly to shipping errors, delays, or discrepancies and drive resolution, including occasional nights or weekends as needed
  • Perform root cause analysis on logistics issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and shipment data using spreadsheets and logistics systems
  • Analyze current logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and control costs
  • Manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
