About The Position

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will coordinate the activities of warehouse, reception, storage, inventories, distribution and customer service to meet the needs of internal and external customers within the deadlines and quality standards required, complying with current regulations and optimizing resources. You will report to the Plant Manager and be based on site at the Thomasville, NC facility. PPG is the world’s leading coatings company, serving more industries than any of our competitors. Requirements

  • Professional in industrial engineering, logistics, production or related fields.
  • Intermediate office automation and personnel management.
  • At least one year of experience in logistics processes.
  • Team management (people in charge).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of warehouse, reception, storage, inventories, distribution and customer service to meet the needs of internal and external customers within the deadlines and quality standards required, complying with current regulations and optimizing resources.
  • Provide the areas with the necessary resources for the correct execution of the activities and guarantee the generation of purchase orders according to the usage flows of packing and packaging supplies.
  • Guarantee the accuracy of existing inventories, ensuring cyclical and periodic inventories before internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate the internal logistics of finished good associated with outbound sales orders.
  • Work with carriers to ensure pickup times and schedules are kept.
  • Support in the coordination and control of the operations of the external sites that provide supply services and delivery of finished product to customers.
  • Perform the inspections required to maintain facilities and equipment in good operating conditions, to guarantee their availability.
  • Comply and enforce compliance with safety standards and procedures, Quality Management System, Environment, Occupational Risk Prevention and Compliance.
