Responsibilities

  • The Shipping Coordinator is the primary resource for coordinating deliveries of finished product with third-party trucking companies (dispatched loads) and establishing load schedules based on delivery dates established with customers.
  • Manage the Outbound Log/Schedule; takes calls from dispatchers and inputs data into the schedule accurately.
  • Establish and communicate the delivery schedule or load sheet with shipping leadership and loaders.
  • Create a load schedule based on confirmations and establish the number of loads and whether or not they require special considerations, for example, over-length loads.
  • This position manages all other administrative responsibilities for the shipping department and requires an individual highly capable with computers and programs such as Carrier Point, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office and Excel.
