About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating outbound shipment and inbound delivery details for our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Operations Manager, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience or combination of education and experience
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle customer and/or carrier issues with poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, being a high-performance team player
• Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to function with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain favorable working relationship with core carrier base
• Determine most economic carrier(s) routing and transportation on a load-by-load basis
• Schedule outbound shipments and inbound deliveries
• Monitor movement of shipments throughout life cycle, including loading, transit, and delivery
• Work to improve control and efficiency of freight
• Schedule order pickup with customers and/or carrier
• Other duties as assigned.
