About The Position

Summary: The Logistics Coordinator – Maintenance supports reliable operations by ensuring the accurate handling, organization, and flow of maintenance-related materials and supplies. This role contributes to departmental objectives by maintaining inventory readiness, improving storage efficiency, and supporting technicians with timely access to required parts. The position promotes safe work practices, reinforces compliance with inventory and auditing standards, and drives continuous improvement in maintenance logistics processes. Primary Duties Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Train maintenance inventory personnel on established procedures, policies, and safe handling practices to ensure consistency and accuracy. Evaluate storage layout and organization for maintenance parts, identifying opportunities to improve space utilization and operational flow. Sort, stage, and maintain maintenance materials with a strong emphasis on traceability, accessibility, and accuracy. Ensure all maintenance parts are correctly labeled, stored, and documented in designated locations. Monitor material flow for maintenance operations and recommend adjustments to maintain appropriate stock levels. Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe working environment within maintenance inventory areas. Support maintenance teams by providing timely and accurate part retrieval, staging, and replenishment. Ensure adherence to inventory auditing requirements and assist with discrepancy resolution. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, or maintenance materials coordination; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience supporting maintenance or parts inventory functions preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of inventory management methods, particularly for maintenance or technical parts. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead, train, and coach team members. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with maintenance and operations personnel. Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing conditions. Essential Mental and Physical Functions: Essential functions include: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform material-handling duties for extended periods. Use of fine and gross motor skills for handling parts, tools, and related equipment. Ability to make decisions and solve problems with minimal supervision. Overtime may be required depending on maintenance operational needs. Work Environment: Perform all tasks on-site. Periodic exposure to seasonal temperatures, dust, noise, and chemical fumes in maintenance and manufacturing areas. Compliance with all applicable safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Regular interaction with maintenance, warehouse, and operations personnel. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This role is classified as a Safety-Sensitive Position, requiring heightened awareness and adherence to all safety requirements to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
