Essential Duties: Coordinate and schedule multiple carriers for chemical shipments across North America Locate carrier capacity for open shipments Tender shipment notifications to third-party carriers Work within a customized Transportation Management System Provide resolutions for daily shipment and scheduling exceptions Track and report non-conformances and shipment issues Support management and cross-functional departments with logistics-related needs Perform data analysis and reporting related to transportation and shipment activity Interface with various levels of management and internal departments in a fast-paced environment Requirements/Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation scheduling, or customer service Steady work history with a concentration in logistics, transportation, and/or customer service Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with SAP is a plus Experience working with chemicals or hazardous materials is a plus Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person Ability to perform repetitive hand movements for typing and data entry Ability to occasionally lift and move office materials up to 15 pounds Ability to maintain focus and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environ
