About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing package goods shipping schedules at the Richmond site. This role involves collaboration with logistics providers, production operations, and customer service to ensure cost-effective service that meets customer expectations. The position is integral to the Supply Chain team and reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• 2 or more years performing administrative work in a warehouse/packaging/logistics facility or a related area
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of legal regulations
• Good management and organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong math, written and verbal communication skills
• Responsible and able to work with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Create packaged goods loading schedule
• Secure transportation for customers purchasing delivered product
• Coordinate the scheduling and loading of customer pick-ups
• Complete Loading Log transactions for customer shipments from the warehouse
• Provide accurate shipping documentation for customer shipments
• Coordinate daily packaged goods production with planning
• Manufacture and maintain accurate inventory of packaged goods in the EDI system
• Verify incoming material is correct vs purchase orders
• Identify, report, and help resolve issues with warehouse operations
• Support the Production Planner with information to help develop and execute the site production schedule
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities to reduce operational costs
• Update freight table pricing and provide lane pricing quotes to customer service
• Inform customer service team of scheduling or execution issues that will impact customers
• Work with the AAK USA Transportation Manager on system issues, lane pricing, and documentation
• Generate Bill of Ladings, shipping instructions, and related documentation for outbound shipments.
