As a Logistics Coordinator II at World Kinect Corporation, you will be the primary liaison for drivers and customer service, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency in a 24/7/365 logistics environment. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of dispatching or equivalent logistics experience.
  • Prior experience in petroleum dispatching is a plus.
  • Training in DOT regulations and hazardous materials handling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and local transportation systems.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with digital tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze daily fuel delivery needs and manage inventory systems to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Create and manage daily dispatch schedules, optimizing routes and delivery efficiency.
  • Assign orders and confirm acceptance with external carriers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with drivers to relay load requirements and ensure on-time performance.
  • Partner with the WKC Supply team to identify optimal lift points and suppliers to maximize order profitability.
  • Make swift, informed decisions in dynamic situations to maintain operational flow and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism, delivering a high-quality service experience.
  • Report and document any incidents or spills promptly, reinforcing a strong safety culture.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for internal departments and compliance purposes.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support logistics operations.
  • Anticipate and address service disruptions with effective recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to coordinate transport planning and scheduling.
