About the position

WOONGJIN, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to coordinate the transportation of cargo from origin to final destination. The role involves effective communication with customers to achieve profitable deals and working closely with account agents to accommodate client instructions. The successful candidate will be responsible for streamlining ocean inbound and outbound freight operations, ensuring timely delivery via Ocean, Land, and Air. This position requires generating shipping documentation and coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments. Additionally, the role includes providing various types of quotations to customers, sending invoices for completed cases, and providing the billing team with documentation from the beginning to the end of all involved transactions, including trucking, air freight, and fees. The candidate will also cover operations for co-loading, intercompany shipments, and transfer billing cases, while creating daily inventory to ensure data accuracy and alignment with other reports. The position demands managing, monitoring, and driving improvements to achieve high customer service goals by providing on-time delivery, controlling product lead-times, and responding to customer requests. The individual will serve as the main point of contact, communicate, report, and support high-volume customer accounts to eliminate constraints and meet objectives, while maintaining excellent relationships. Furthermore, the role involves planning, analyzing, and comparing the cost of service, updating, tracing, and tracking the status of shipments for select suppliers and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs). The candidate will report Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Supply Chain function and develop performance metrics to manage and evaluate the operating performance of internal supply chain resources and external supply chain partner collaboration models. The individual will also manage organizational goals by considering time, budget, and Business Unit objectives, while working closely with the Pricing Department and maintaining great relationships with industry vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent computer and database management skills.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Highly efficient with data entry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics for 6 months.
