The Logistics Compliance Specialist will define, document and implement corporate policy and processes for import/export compliance, helping mitigate operational and reputational risk arising from routine business transactions. This role is responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining compliance systems across TRUMPF Inc.’s logistics operations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain compliance and 3–5 years’ import/export experience (manufacturing or global shipping office preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CTPAT, EAR and ITAR requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and ongoing administration of compliance work plans.
  • Audit, update and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance (including U.S. Customs, EAR, ITAR where applicable); perform annual audits and revisions.
  • Support CTPAT-related logistics topics, including validations and security profile maintenance.
  • Train and actively participate in upskilling Logistics Coordinators to ensure adherence to compliance standards and regulations.
  • Support export processes for licensable items to foreign entities, ensuring proper licensing and documentation.
  • Act as a compliance advocate: review potential issues, collect information/evidence, assess risk, and recommend remedial actions.
  • Review, evaluate and recommend improvements to compliance programs and practices; conduct benchmarking and periodic reviews.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and assess tariff impacts across product categories.
