About The Position

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. A Logistics Clerk is needed by Stratolaunch Systems in Mojave California to establish and maintain a Property Control System, providing management of Stratolaunch assets. The Logistics Clerk must be detail-oriented and accept primary responsibility for ensuring all property tracking systems comply with government contracting and ITAR requirements and are compatible with corporate accounting standards. The successful candidate will have the skills to be part of a team but will also need to be able to operate a forklift, move boxes and furniture, and perform light maintenance. Stratolaunch relies on a complex network of contractors and subcontractors, and this individual must demonstrate emotional intelligence and an appreciation for clarity, tact, and professionalism. This position will be critical to the expansion of operations in Mojave, and this individual needs to have a customer-service mentality to support Stratolaunch’s off-site staff and partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in safety and handling of hazardous materials, as well as a strong background in project management, with some college or professional certificates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using computers, including typing and utilization of Microsoft Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the implementation of a property tracking and management system
  • Experience using CostPoint or MRP software
  • Experience in ITAR or government contracting procedures
  • Experience with Hazmat process
  • Experience in business management programs, such as Deltek, Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

  • Store, track, secure, and account for company assets.
  • Assemble and prepare kits containing specific components for manufacturing to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Measure and maintain an optimum level of inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain min/max levels to prevent shortages.
  • Generate purchase requests to bring stock back to maximum levels.
  • Identify discrepancies, damages, or shortages and remedy via company policy.
  • Assist with inventory integrity and compliance by conducting regular, accurate physical stock counts and audits.
  • Audit receiving documentation for accuracy in quantity, quality, and labeling.
  • Collaborate with other key departments such as finance, shipping and receiving, and the program management office.
  • Contribute to our continuous improvement initiative, inclusive of updating and implementing processes and procedures for the area.
  • Properly store and segregate hazardous materials according to compatibility, hazard class, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized inventory storage area.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
