Job Description We are hiring for a 1st shift, 8am-4pm, Monday thru Friday, MUST be able to work OT when required!!! This is repeated at the end with added detail To meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of CSP. To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions. Loads and unloads materials, moves materials in and out of storage locations. Labels and marks pallets as required. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Performs physical inventories when required Assumes responsibility for customer shipments, paperwork, electronic communication and other ongoing issues related to customer finished goods deliveries. Assumes responsibility for receiving in all supplier materials, paperwork, electronic communication and other ongoing issues related to deliveries Sets up and coordinates the pickup and shipping of hazardous waste materials. Communicate materials related problems and to appropriate personnel. Responsible for keeping work area clean and free of unneeded materials Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Maintains inventory of shipping materials, components, and supplies. Maintains accurate shipping documents and any additional customer required shipping documentation. Understands safety policies and practices that apply to assigned area and can locate the HazCom labels, MSDS files or contacts. Verifies safe work practices are followed. Ability to function effectively in a team environment. Ability to safely operate powered equipment i.e. forklifts. Must be able to safely handle/move hazardous materials and all other items from trailers. Report all accidents, injuries, and near misses immediately. Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Materials Manager. Be able to interact with the suppliers when needed on issues or orders Knowledge and use of computer MRP systems/QAD and/or customer/supplier interface portal as required. Qualifications: Successful Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing/logistics environment Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively along with basic mathematical skills required. Must be computer literate on the Windows platform. Education: High School Diploma (or GED) is required. Physical Requirements: ·This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of nine (9) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. Ability to climb stairs is necessary. Ability to wear a respirator is necessary when and if it is necessary to receive hazardous products. Good vision at a close distance is required.
