About The Position

The Logistics Clerk position at the City of Deltona's Fire Department is a part-time role focused on providing efficient logistical support and organization for the department. Requirements

• High School graduation or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics, or closely related experience is preferred.
• Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certification is preferred.
• Fire Department experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Operative IQ is preferred.
• Valid driver's license in the State of Florida is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in emergency services logistics.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly inventory of all EMS and station supplies at all fire stations.
• Check all medications and supplies to ensure they are within expiration dates.
• Warehouse all inventory items and receive/replenish stock as needed.
• Conduct inspections of all Bunker Gear per NFPA requirements and handle repair and replacement of protective gear.
• Retrieve used medical supplies from hospitals, including backboards and immobilization equipment.
• Enter, retrieve, review, and modify data using various software programs to keep accurate records of supplies and gear.
• Provide logistical support to emergency scenes, including brush fires and hurricanes.
• Assist in tagging all City property for fixed asset tracking purposes.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Interpret job work orders to determine the nature of work to be performed and schedule work accordingly.
• Distribute uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
