About The Position

Makers Pride is looking for a dynamic Warehouse Clerk who will have a positive impact on the operations team. As a Warehouse Clerk you will perform shipping duties for the plant, including scheduling, tagging products and maintaining an organized warehouse. What you’ll be doing: Checking in drivers Operating forklifts Checking Purchase Orders Scheduling trucks for loading/unloading Preparing shipping documents and entering data on a daily basis Maintain records of all products and orders Verify Seals on trucks Maintain customer shipment files Maintain Open communications with Corporate Customer Service to maximize shipments and minimize problems Work with Plant General Manager and Supervisors to establish load out and shipment schedules and keep them informed on orders (distribute copies, etc.) Coordinate containers, export documents and shipping documents for export shipments Maintain good relationship with the trucking companies Perform other duties assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use PICK system and basic windows operation of Word and Excel and GroupWise email system.
