About The Position

The role of a Logistics/C&T (Communications & Training) Support Specialist is essential for ensuring that products are efficiently transported, stored, and delivered while also maintaining effective communication and providing training to relevant stakeholders. CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite‐structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). We are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and we serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products. Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning: They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms. Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high‐frequency performance. Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person as defined under ITAR and EAR.  In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

  • Certification in assigned area is preferred, if appropriate.
  • Ability to obtain forklift license may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Processes outgoing shipments and packages products for shipment by determining proper packaging and cushioning
  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties such as determining proper carrier and routing and preparing paperwork for shipments
  • Uses computer system for routing, tracking, and processing of shipments
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications
  • Reports materials shipped and bills of lading; post weight and shipping charges and route merchandise to destinations
  • Communicates clearly with coworkers, planners, material managers, and internal customers
  • Helps set and work toward team goals
  • Coordinates and prioritize individual daily activities
  • Supports continuous improvement activities
  • Actively participates in meetings
  • May handle and process classified material
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift or other power industrial vehicles
  • Perform other duties as needed
