The Mid-Shift Logistics Associate coordinates activities of incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes directing the movement of shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas, verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment. The associate examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, and records shortages, as well as ensuring outgoing shipments meet specifications. Incumbents may be matched to this position if they are responsible for one of the functions instead of both shipping and receiving.
