About The Position

SAIC is seeking two Logistics Associates to provide support for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center for multiple programs in Middletown, RI . The hire will be responsible for supporting procurements and property management of Government material at SAIC. Job Duties : The individual will source, negotiate and purchase IT Hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies and incidental services necessary for operation of an organization or program. interface with vendors to obtain quotes; process Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders; update Excel spreadsheets with relevant information; kitting and tracking inventory; interface with customers to develop procurement requirements and to provide status updates. Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitor performance of suppliers. Track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years of experience; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Ability to acquire a SECRET government clearance
  • MS Office proficiency including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Quick learner and proactive
  • Ability to manage logistical issues
