AEM is looking for a highly motivated Logistics Assistant. This position reports to the Shipping and Logistics Operations Lead.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education combined with relevant industry experience
  • Proven ability to perform shipping and receiving responsibilities effectively
  • Consistent record of delivering accurate and detail-oriented work
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in computer operations with solid understanding of system functionality
  • Professional approach to technical tasks and collaborative teamwork
  • Professional demeanor in customer interactions and service delivery
  • Valid forklift operator certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated with strong team orientation
  • Good manual dexterity and fine motor skill
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO9001 based Quality Management Systems is desirable
  • Experience in product testing is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and pack products for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts or stock audits
  • Organize and stage materials for production and kitting jobs
  • Assist in assembling and testing products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of components
  • Update shipping and receiving logs in the system and generate required documentation
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation for outbound shipments
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers to resolve shipping issues
  • Follow related Quality System controlled processes within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
