About the Internship FORTÉ’s Logistics & Supply Chain Internship is a 10–12-week paid program designed to provide hands-on exposure to enterprise logistics, warehousing, inventory management, supply chain optimization, and sustainability initiatives. This internship supports FORTÉ’s centralized logistics and supply chain operations and offers real-world experience in how materials move from suppliers to warehouses to project sites—while balancing cost, efficiency, sustainability, and service excellence. Interns will work closely with logistics, operations, and supply chain professionals and gain exposure to data-driven decision-making that supports both operational efficiency and revenue execution. This experience is ideal for students interested in careers in logistics, supply chain management, operations, analytics, or sustainability within a technology-driven organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Anticipated Associate’s or Bachelor’s graduation preferably between Spring 2026 – Spring 2027
  • Students pursuing degrees in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, Sustainability, Business, or related fields
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in logistics, warehousing, supply chain operations, or sustainability initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, inspect, properly label, and store or distribute incoming product and documentation
  • Process outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx, and various freight forwarders
  • Coordinate and document material requests across departments
  • Generate bills of lading and assist with scheduling pickups and deliveries
  • Conduct cycle counts of finished goods inventory and support inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Report incoming packages to appropriate departments or end users
  • Develop working knowledge of inventory management principles and systems
  • Review and enter logistics- and supply-chain-related expense data
  • Support cost savings and cost avoidance analysis initiatives
  • Participate in carrier communication, performance review, and service evaluation
  • Assist with the creation of Quarterly Business Review (QBR) documentation
  • Monitor and report RMA trends and root causes to support continuous improvement
  • Collect and organize RBU emissions and sustainability-related data
  • Perform data entry and validation in sustainability tracking platforms (e.g., Greenly)
  • Support sustainability opportunity identification, training materials, and internal communications
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, operations, finance, and project teams
  • Gain visibility into how logistics and supply chain decisions impact project execution, customer experience, and revenue delivery
  • Complete a final project such as a logistics cost analysis, inventory optimization recommendation, sustainability improvement proposal, or process improvement summary
  • Present findings and recommendations to logistics and operations leadership
