About The Position

The Logistics and Distribution Technician at WellSpan Health in York, PA, performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution. This includes issuing supplies, maintaining inventories, compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, among other responsibilities. The position requires working Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a weekend rotation and on-call duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Moves/handles items such as supplies, linen, mail, print products, equipment, etc.
• Performs activities such as receiving, storing, cleaning, issuing, counting, shipping and ordering of supplies and equipment.
• Complies with US Postal Service Regulations.
• Works to meet customer expectations regarding the right items in the right condition and quantity.
• Works in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Supports the capture and reporting of Key Performance Indicators/Measures for Continuous Improvement.
• Collaborates with managers, supervisors, technicians, warehouses, mail services, print providers, and couriers.
• Stocks vendor deliveries in designated areas.
• Receives requests for items, selects from inventory, loads distribution vehicles, and distributes to designated areas.
• Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
• Inventories user storage areas and replenishes inventory or par levels.
• Prepares routine inventory reports and maintains records of in-house and on-order supplies.
• Supports periodic and special inventories and participates in year-end inventories.
• Investigates discrepancies and reconciles inventory issues.
• Monitors expiration dates and processes inventory returns.
