About The Position

The Logistics Analyst supports transportation and logistics operations by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on transportation-related data to monitor performance, service levels, and costs. This role partners closely with logistics leadership and cross-functional teams to identify trends, support operational improvements, and enhance transportation efficiency and execution. What You'll Do Collect, analyze, and maintain transportation data related to carrier performance, on-time delivery, freight costs, and damage trends. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports that track transportation performance metrics and operational results. Monitor data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues and escalate findings to logistics leadership. Support root-cause analysis efforts by gathering data, identifying contributing factors, and documenting findings. Maintain accurate transportation datasets to support reporting, audits, and operational reviews. Ensure transportation data and reporting align with established procedures, compliance requirements, and security standards. Analyze routing, carrier usage, mode selection, and consolidation data to identify efficiency improvement opportunities. Provide analytical support for transportation optimization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Partner with Inventory, Warehouse Operations, Order Management, and IT teams to support logistics process analysis. Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of logistics system enhancements and process changes. Analyze freight claims data to identify trends related to loss, damage, and recovery outcomes. Support freight claim resolution by tracking status, preparing reports, and documenting recurring issues. Serve as a point of contact for transportation-related exceptions by compiling information and escalating issues as needed. Provide limited backup support for Logistics Coordinators during peak periods or coverage needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, transportation analysis, or inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to support operational decision-making.
  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP, and transportation-related systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain multi-modal hazmat shipping certification within three (3) months of hire.
