About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Analyst for our Hanahan, SC location.

The Logistics Analyst will oversee the receipt and delivery of inbound/outbound
goods;

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining program
specific logistics technical documentation, such as:

Logistics Schedules

Action Item Tracking Sheets

Program Briefs & Presentations

Calculating procurement lead time, repair turnaround time

The Logistics Analyst will also be responsible for the cross-training and backup
of other employees. Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule
pick-up of goods; Arrange for movement of freight to consignee/agent and update
the system with information; Process necessary invoices to appropriate office
for payment; Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights
and freight permits, and other information needed. 

Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points
of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.

May also plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from
receiving or the warehouse to production. Ensures the execution and continuous
improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass
maintenance, supply, transportation, and logistics plans. Inherently included as
logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, and coordination
