About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Logistics Analyst I to join our Logistics team. This position will be located in Mt. Laurel NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualified candidate will become part of BAE Systems, working with a highly complex computer system critical to the defense of the United States. As part of our team the successful candidate will support the US Navy's Aegis Combat System (ACS) research and development, shipboard ACS modernization efforts, new construction, and Fleet support efforts. Aegis is the Navy's premiere computer suite in detection, managing, command & control, directing sensors and putting weapons on target. Job Summary: Assists with the efficient flow of goods and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution, tasking and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes. Integrates learning from customers, competitors and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. Works with leadership and customer to ensure efficient and timely materiel flow(s).

Requirements

  • Security Clearance: must possess SECRET clearance
  • Associate’s Degree and 4years work experience or
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience
  • MS Office Suite Proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Support a team leader to meet tasking objectives and schedule
  • Provide logistics support analysis to keep all on-site test equipment operational and available for use by the Aegis Combat System (ACS) Developer
  • Regularly support various meetings and baseline projectes at Combat System Engeneering and Developmen Site (CSEDS)
  • Participate in site support and equipment failure/ TFR (Trouble Failure Reports) review meetings to determine material support requirements and appropriate funding requirements/obligations.
  • Liaison between US Government personnel (AEGIS TECHREP) and BAE Systems Inc. personnel
  • Proccess MILSTRIP orders and/or generate Governmet Purchase Card quotes
  • Document control/Invoice management via material receipt uploads
  • Database Management (MS Excel)
  • Material shipment coordination (interagency)
  • Review and analysis of material stock levels/inventory and supporting special projects
  • Determine material procurement requirements and screen for availability through authorized sources of supply
  • Review availability of funding for material procurements and process orders through either the federal supply system or open purchase
  • Attends weekly status meetings and generates reports for leadership team
  • Works with junior and senior team members to determine material procurement process, communicate customer needs/requirements and screen for availability through authorized sources of supply
  • Prepares and contributes reports and presentations for AEGIS TECHREP customer and/or BAE Systems leadership
  • Regularly engages with customer(s) and attends team meetings as requested.
