About The Position

The Logistics Advisor Bulk at BP Americas, Inc. is responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics activities, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with safety standards. This role involves managing logistics performance aligned with the GSC Customer Fulfillment and Logistics agenda, providing insights through key performance indicators, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years combined supply chain experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Logistics, including 3rd party logistics management and customer service.
• Strong expertise in logistics and warehousing operations.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and networks.
• Innovative with a proven ability to identify and implement logistics solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with bulk modes of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Logistics plan focusing on Safety, Service, Quality, Compliance, and Cost.
• Ensure performance, compliance, and alignment between Logistics and cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, and Customer-facing roles.
• Contribute to logistics strategy and execution by providing strategic feedback and tactical context.
• Manage 3PL and contract carriers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and adequate carrier coverage.
• Support Commercial Logistics activities and assist Procurement in the freight bid process.
• Manage the bulk logistics network using Barge, Rail, and truck for fluid movement across the country.
• Oversee rail fleet utilization, procurement, and payment aligned with BP NA rail operations.
• Align with BP shipping for dedicated barge fleet management.
