About The Position

Logistician SME to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) M- Code Aviation Receiver (MAR) Joint Program Office (JPO) at Warner Robins, GA. This position is contingent upon contract award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) M- Code Aviation Receiver (MAR) Joint Program Office (JPO) manages systems to provide precise positioning, navigation, and timing information to a variety of Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems. These systems include but are not limited to the Software Defined User Equipment (SDUE), Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver (MAGR) 2000, Embedded GPS/Inertial Navigation System (EGI), Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR), GPS Antenna System 1 (GAS-1), Advanced Digital Antenna Production System (ADAP), GPS Antennas, Antenna Electronics (AE), Resilient Embedded GPS/INS (R-EGI), Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE); Air Force Vanguard Transition programs, and alternative navigation capabilities. Some systems are in initial development and many of these systems are undergoing significant modernization efforts to respond to new threats, improve supportability, improve long-term resiliency, and adopt open architecture standards, and digital engineering best practices. Modernization efforts are underway for both the MAGR-2K and the EGI receiver systems in support of aircraft modernization efforts. Additionally, R-EGI and SDUE are in rapid development using innovative acquisition approaches.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in DoD acquisition; Or,
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in DoD acquisition; Or,
  • 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in DoD acquisition.

  • Deep understanding of DoD contracting, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budget development and management.
  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. TOP SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • PROVIDE LIFE CYCLE LOGISTICS SUPPORT FOR MAR SYSTEMS FROM DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SUSTAINMENT AND DISPOSAL
  • PLAN, DEVELOP, AND EXECUTE INTEGRATED PRODUCT SUPPORT (IPS) STRATEGIES TO ENSURE SYSTEM READINESS, AVAILABILITY, AND AFFORDABILITY
  • SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF LIFE CYCLE SUSTAINMENT PLANS (LCSPS) IN ACCORDANCE WITH AIR FORCE AND DOD POLICY
  • ANALYZE AND MANAGE LOGISTICS ELEMENTS INCLUDING SUPPLY SUPPORT, MAINTENANCE PLANNING, TECHNICAL DATA, TRAINING, SUPPORT EQUIPMENT, AND FACILITIES
  • COORDINATE WITH SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, AND CONTRACTING TEAMS TO ENSURE LOGISTICS REQUIREMENTS ARE INTEGRATED INTO SYSTEM DESIGN AND ACQUISITION STRATEGIES
  • SUPPORT PROVISIONING, SPARES PLANNING, AND REPAIR STRATEGIES TO SUSTAIN MAR FIELDED SYSTEMS
  • MONITOR AND ASSESS SYSTEM SUSTAINMENT PERFORMANCE METRICS SUCH AS AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, MAINTAINABILITY, AND COST
  • SUPPORT CONFIGURATION AND TECHNICAL DATA MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE LOGISTICS DATA ACCURACY AND TRACEABILITY
  • ASSIST WITH DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW OF SUSTAINMENT-RELATED CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS, CDRLS, AND PERFORMANCE METRICS
  • PARTICIPATE IN PROGRAM REVIEWS, DESIGN REVIEWS, AND SUSTAINMENT READINESS ASSESSMENTS
  • SUPPORT OBSOLESCENCE MANAGEMENT, DIMINISHING MANUFACTURING SOURCES AND MATERIAL SHORTAGES (DMSMS), AND SUPPLY CHAIN RISK MITIGATION
  • COORDINATE FIELDING, DEPLOYMENT, AND SUSTAINMENT ACTIVITIES WITH DOD WEAPON SYSTEM PLATFORMS AND USERS
  • SUPPORT AIRWORTHINESS, CYBERSECURITY, AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS AS THEY RELATE TO SUSTAINMENT AND LOGISTICS OPERATIONS
  • PROVIDE LOGISTICS INPUTS TO COST ESTIMATES, SCHEDULES, AND RISK ASSESSMENTS TO SUPPORT INFORMED PROGRAM DECISIONS
