About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for the efficient & effective management and on-going development of Information Technology (IT), Maintenance, and Transportation Services. These departments provide invaluable services at Orange Grove and it is imperative efficiencies are maximized and ongoing strategic planning occurs. While safety is everyone’s responsibility, this Director will take the lead role in staying educated and implementing the necessary OSHA, DOT and applicable regulations. This Director will serve as the agency’s Exposure Plan Coordinator and in any other applicable safety roles. S/he will develop and oversee electronic service requests, will oversee bid processes and purchases, and will continuously evaluate personnel resources and their utilization. This Director will make recommendations to the CFO for needed budgetary items, will develop efficient routing procedures and will oversee the agency’s security needs. As a Director, s/he is responsible for budgeting, staff evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and working with other administrators and stakeholders to ensure successful supports are implemented and that Orange Grove has a stellar community reputation. The Director will prepare reports, give presentations and oversee all departmental paperwork and responsibilities. The Director will ensure services and facilities, to include residential homes, align with all licensure and regulatory standards. S/he will work closely with the CFO, Director of Compliance and Director of Human Resources to ensure all compliance standards are implemented. S/he will maintain a flexible schedule to attend training needs and meetings, to facilitate relationships with community partners/vendors, to manage personnel needs, to follow up on projects and to ensure successful services. Foremost, this person will demonstrate positive leadership abilities in all situations and will uphold and promote the mission, policies and procedures of Orange Grove.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required, Master Degree preferred
  • Experience in evaluating systems and writing procedures is required
  • Must set and accomplish goals, provide staff training and mentoring, and effectively communicate with a wide array of stakeholders
  • Fluent Excel and computer skills required
  • Must possess initiative, work on projects independently, and demonstrate consistent quality services, time management and follow through
  • Good overall physical health and personal stamina
  • Physical examination, including TB skin test or chest x-ray is required prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA safety training and certifications preferred
  • Minimum of two years experience with demonstrating policy and safety compliance is preferred
  • Minimum of two years experience supervising management-level staff is preferred
