The position involves monitoring and managing the drayage process of shipment movement, which includes receiving Arrival Notices and ISF information before the port arrival of vessels, creating and sending delivery orders, and managing empty container returns. The role requires managing relationships with selected drayage carriers and making urgent communications in case of emergencies. Additionally, the candidate will need to search for alternative drayage carriers in case of capacity shortages and share daily container delivery schedules with drayage carriers. The position also involves analyzing, creating, editing, tracking, and tracing select logistics service providers (LSPs) such as drayage carriers, rail companies, and rail terminals. The candidate will monitor and drive improvements to customer service goals, including on-time delivery and responsiveness to requests for quotes. In cases where a pre-pull yard is used, the candidate must find the best solutions in a timely manner. Monthly reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for drayage deliveries is also required, along with checking delivery statuses and sharing updates with customers. The role includes documenting corrective actions and improvement plans and verifying their effectiveness, as well as performing ad-hoc reporting and other job-related duties as required.
