About The Position

The position involves monitoring and managing the entire process of product movement via Air, Ocean, and Land/trucking transportation processes. The role requires tracking shipments across different channels and reporting monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the Supply Chain function. Daily liaison with customers, carriers, and internal staff is essential, along with developing performance metrics to evaluate the operating performance of internal supply chain resources and external supply chain partner collaboration models. The candidate will support logistics procedures to achieve team goals by adhering to logistics policies, keep proper records of all transactions related to the team’s logistics operations, and monitor and resolve discrepancies and problems related to the transportation/logistics system. Additionally, maintaining essential account documentation with up-to-date information and ensuring it is collated and stored for easy access is crucial. The role also involves analyzing areas of corporate logistics to find the most cost-effective means and methods of transporting supplies, coordinating with site managers and co-workers to assure effective operations, performing ad-hoc reporting as required, and other job-related duties as necessary.
