About The Position

This position involves performing lofting, nesting, and template preparation as required by project level. The role coordinates with Engineering and Production teams to support fabrication processes, including plate and structure planning for hull and outfitting items. Responsibilities also include addressing drawing clarifications, managing part location requirements, and utilizing 3D models to ensure production clarity and build strategy alignment. The Lofting Coordinator II is expected to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support project documentation efforts.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in marine or structural lofting, preferably in a shipyard environment
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in CAD/CAM tools including AutoCAD, Rhino, and any nesting software
• Good understanding of ship structure and 3D modeling
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot design discrepancies
