About The Position

The Lodging Maintenance Technician is responsible for all routine and basic maintenance of the rooms in our Hotel program at Mountain Creek, a four-season resort located in Vernon, NJ. The technician will report to the Lodging Manager and is expected to enhance the lives of team members, guests, and partners by building lasting connections. The role involves responding to maintenance calls, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all hotel facilities are in good working condition.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of basic maintenance experience required.
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools and measuring tools.
  • General knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to meet the essential functions/responsibilities of the job.
  • Position requires continuous movement, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all calls for maintenance to inspect and diagnose the problem.
  • Inspect each unit twice yearly to identify preventative maintenance needed.
  • Utilize standards checklist to conduct daily inspections to maintain rooms in good working condition.
  • Document any repairs that are needed to be communicated to the Facilities department.
  • Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Install and remove any loaner appliances or equipment (TVs, VCR, etc.).
  • Replace all light bulbs, batteries in smoke detectors, remote controls, card key locks and clocks as needed.
  • Unstop toilets, sinks, tubs by use of plunger.
  • Inspect and clean all vents and filters on appliances and ceilings.
  • Instruct guests on use of equipment. Reprogram TV as needed.
  • Make adjustments to and/or lubricate screens, cabinets and sliding glass doors and all door locks.
  • Respond to and inspect all appliance malfunctions.
