About The Position

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Veterinary Diagnostic and Production Animal Medicine (VDPAM) in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University, located in Ames, Iowa, invites applicants for a temporary Locum position in the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center (LVMC). The Locum will provide relief veterinary services for the Food Supply Veterinary Medicine or Theriogenology section of VDPAM in the teaching hospital, including on-call coverage. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to collaborate with the current accomplished team of veterinary specialists and staff to provide outstanding: 1. Professional services including patient evaluation, specialty case management and follow-up care. 2. Rotational instruction and evaluation of students, interns and residents. 3. Consultations with other hospital services and referring veterinarians.

Requirements

  • Iowa Veterinary License
