Pick Your Ideal Rotation 2 on / 2 off — average 20 hours per week 3 on / 1 off — perfect for those who like longer stretches of work and play. Both options are available. We'll work around you. Where You'll Practice Our traveling DVMs rotate across high-performing, community-rooted hospitals in: Houston Tyler Worth Frisco Kilgore Odessa San Antonio New locations are added regularly as our network grows. The Medicine CareVet hospitals are equipped with industry-leading diagnostics and treatment capabilities. You'll have the tools to practice the kind of medicine you went to school for — and the autonomy to do it your way. We don't run protocol binders. We trust our DVMs to make the right call for each patient. Our role is to provide guidance, network-level clinical outcomes data, and support — not to override your judgment. Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
