About The Position

Purpose of Job: Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing radiologic technology service as follows: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates and maintains fixed x-ray equipment. Positions patient and employs proper tube-part-film alignments and collimation for maximum patient protection. Processes film and file completed examinations according to established departmental procedures. Sends films to designated consultants as required. Complies with and enforce radiation and safety standards. Routes films to CHAS sites; ensures appropriate tracking of films sent and received; responsible for requesting, managing and returning film studies from other facilities as requested by providers. Provides complete documentation and perform related clerical duties as needed. Perform front desk duties as needed. Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

  • Current Washington State license to practice as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or be registry eligible and obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, techniques of operating x-ray and other diagnostic imaging equipment, radiographic positioning, basic patient care and procedures required.
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills required.
  • Compassion for patients required.
  • Must be able to work well in team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • BLS (CPR/AED) required.
  • Valid drivers’ license, insurance and vehicle required.
  • Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.
